- ‘Israeli’ settlers force 33 Palestinian families to leave Shalal Al-Ouja Bedouin community near Jericho.
- Rights group warns of systematic harassment and calls for international intervention.
On Sunday, 33 Palestinian families were forcibly displaced from the Shalal Al-Ouja Bedouin community north of Jericho, according to the rights group Al-Baydar.
The organization reported that continuous harassment by ‘Israeli’ settler groups led to the families’ departure, leaving local residents living in fear. The displaced families included 20 from the Arab Al-Rashaydeh community in Yatta and 13 from the Arab Al-Ghawanmeh.
Pattern of forced displacement
Al-Baydar noted that this incident follows the recent displacement of 20 farming families from Yatta on Saturday and 26 families from Al-Ka’abneh on Thursday, all driven from their homes by repeated attacks and daily harassment over the past weeks.

The violations reportedly included damaging crops and fruit trees, grazing livestock on agricultural lands, and continuous provocation of residents.
Systematic targeting of Bedouin communities
The organization said these acts are part of a deliberate policy aimed at pressuring Bedouin communities and taking control of their lands, with no protection provided by occupation forces.

Al-Baydar emphasized that the targeting of northern Jordan Valley Bedouin communities is designed to make life unlivable and enforce a de facto settler presence, causing severe economic and social crises for the residents.
The group called on the international community, human rights bodies, and media outlets to act urgently to protect Bedouin communities and prevent further displacement and attacks on Palestinian lands and property.
