Jordan experienced a significant weather change on Friday as a cold and humid air mass moved across the country. Temperatures dropped noticeably, bringing cold and cloudy conditions. Rain began in northern regions and parts of the central areas and gradually spread to cover most of the kingdom.

Amman Handles Water Rise Efficiently

The spokesperson for Amman Municipality, Nasser Al-Rahmneh, reported that municipal teams responded to seven incidents related to rising water levels in various locations on Friday. He confirmed that crews were present in the field to ensure rapid response.

Dust and Strong Winds Cause Minor Issues

Al-Rahmneh explained that most reports involved soil runoff, which delayed rainwater from reaching the drainage network. Immediate measures were taken to resolve these cases. Strong winds also caused some trees to break, but swift intervention prevented any disruption to traffic.

Emergency Teams Ready Nationwide

Complaints were received from across the capital and other regions, reflecting the readiness and effectiveness of emergency teams in handling reports efficiently. Al-Rahmneh emphasized that municipal teams remain fully prepared for any urgent issues and urged citizens to report concerns through official channels to ensure prompt action.
