  • Gaza Government Media Office report more than 1,100 ceasefire violations by 'Israel' since October.
  • Aid deliveries fall far below agreed levels, deepening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.

Gaza’s Government Media Office said 'Israel' committed 1,193 violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza from October 10, 2025, when the truce took effect, through Friday, January 9, 2026.

In a statement, the office said the violations led to the deaths of 484 Palestinians and injuries to 1,206 others, in addition to dozens of arrests carried out during the ceasefire period.

Alleged military breaches

The office described the incidents as “grave and systematic violations” of the ceasefire and international humanitarian law, saying they undermine both the truce and the attached humanitarian protocol.

The violations included 384 cases of direct gunfire at civilians, 66 incursions by military vehicles into residential areas, and 551 air or ground attacks targeting civilians and their homes. It also reported 192 demolitions of houses, institutions, and civilian buildings, according to the statement.

The office added that 'Israel' carried out 50 arrests it described as illegal during the ceasefire period.

Aid commitments unmet

On the humanitarian front, the statement warned of a worsening crisis in Gaza, accusing 'Israel' of failing to meet minimum aid commitments outlined in the agreement.

Over a 90-day period, 23,019 aid trucks entered Gaza, far short of the 54,000 trucks required. This amounts to a daily average of 255 trucks instead of the agreed 600, a compliance rate of about 43 percent.

Officials said the shortfall has prolonged severe shortages of food, medicine, water, and fuel. They added that most food items allowed into Gaza lack sufficient nutritional value, while essential and nutrient-rich supplies remain restricted.

Fuel shortages paralyze services

Fuel deliveries were described as particularly critical. Only 539 fuel trucks entered Gaza during the same period, compared with 4,500 planned. This averages five trucks per day instead of 50, a compliance rate of roughly 11 percent.

The office said the shortage has caused near-total paralysis of hospitals, bakeries, water stations, and sewage systems.

Shelter crisis deepens in winter

The statement also highlighted a growing shelter crisis as crossings remain closed and mobile homes, caravans, and shelter materials are barred from entry during winter.

More than 50 previously damaged homes and buildings have collapsed, resulting in deaths and injuries. Authorities also reported deaths from extreme cold inside displacement tents, with more than 127,000 tents no longer usable. About 1.5 million displaced people are now without minimum protection, according to the office.

Calls for international action

The Government Media Office said the continued violations amount to a “dangerous circumvention” of the ceasefire agreement and held 'Israel' fully responsible for the humanitarian deterioration and human and material losses.

It called on the United States, agreement guarantors, mediators, the United Nations, and the international community to meet their legal and moral obligations by pressuring 'Israel' to fully implement the ceasefire, protect civilians, ensure the immediate and safe flow of humanitarian aid and fuel, and allow the entry of shelter materials into the Gaza Strip.
