- One person killed in southern Lebanon airstrike.
- Another strike in central Lebanon injures multiple people.
One person was killed and several others injured on Tuesday evening in two separate 'Israeli' airstrikes in Lebanon, local media reported, despite a ceasefire agreement between the countries.
According to the state news agency NNA, an 'Israeli' drone targeted a car traveling on a road between Markaba and Adaisseh in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Health Ministry confirmed that one person was killed in the strike.
In a separate attack, another 'Israeli' drone hit a pickup truck in the Sebline area along the Mount Lebanon coast, NNA reported, causing injuries to multiple people.
- Fragile ceasefire -
The attacks come amid a fragile ceasefire reached last year following over a year of conflict tied to the war in the Gaza Strip. During that period, more than 4,000 people were killed, and 17,000 others were injured.
Under the ceasefire terms, 'Israel' was expected to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon by January. However, the 'Israeli' army has only partially withdrawn and maintains a military presence at five border outposts.
