The Qassam Brigades announced the appointment of a new commander to oversee special tasks within its military manufacturing sector, following the killing of senior commander Raed Saad in an 'Israeli' attack on Saturday.

In a statement, the Brigades said the new appointment reflects the continuity of resistance work, stressing that the assassination of senior figures will not weaken determination or halt operations.

- Assassination and ceasefire violation -

The Brigades said Saad and several of his associates were targeted in what they described as an "assassination operation carried out by the Zionist enemy," calling the strike a clear violation of a ceasefire agreement.

They noted that Saad led the Qassam Brigades’ military manufacturing system, which they described as a central pillar in resistance operations during the October 7 operation.

- Condemnation and warnings -

The brigades condemned the killing and the continued aggression against the Gaza Strip, saying the enemy had “crossed all red lines” and ignored “Trump’s plan.”

They held Trump and the mediators responsible for what they described as repeated violations, stressing that their right to respond and defend themselves is guaranteed “by all means.”
