Medical examinations and X-rays performed on Jordan’s star forward player Yazan Al-Naimat following the Jordanian national football team's quarter-final match against Iraq in the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup revealed that he has suffered a complete tear of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)

The injury is a severe blow to the ranks of Al-Nashama, especially ahead of their highly anticipated semi-final match against the Saudi national team next Monday.

Al-Naimat, the team's striker, sustained the injury in the seventh minute of the match.

Despite the initial trauma, he played through the pain before ultimately being substituted in the 14th minute, with forward Aouda Al-Fakhouri taking his place.
