A joint team from the Qassam Brigades and the Quds Brigades is preparing to search for the body of a captured 'Israeli' soldier in northern Gaza.

The operation comes after 'Israeli' authorities signaled their readiness to receive personal belongings for forensic examination.

The office of 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the materials “will be transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for examination and verification,” emphasizing the process of confirming the identity of captives’ remains.

Resistance groups in northern Gaza have confirmed their readiness to conduct searches, though the area faces immense challenges due to widespread destruction. The captives’ issue remains a central element in any potential negotiations.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip experienced another violent day as the 'Israeli' army continued breaching the ceasefire. Palestinian photojournalist Mahmoud Wadi was killed in an 'Israeli' drone strike in central Khan Younis.

The Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City also witnessed a tense night, as 'Israeli' tanks and drones besieged dozens of families. Civil Defense crews evacuated five people, including two women and two children, from the Al-Sanafir intersection after homes were struck and fires broke out.

These actions come amid efforts by the 'Israeli' forces to expand control, with over 53 percent of Gaza now under their effective authority.
