His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II congratulated Jordanian champion Afif Gheith for winning the gold medal at the 2025 World Karate Championships held in Cairo.

The achievement further strengthens Jordan’s global sports record and reflects the continued progress of Jordanian karate.

The Crown Prince’s congratulatory message received wide attention among sports and youth communities.

Gheith, a member of the national karate team, claimed the world title in Cairo, where 384 athletes from 67 countries competed.

He also became the first Jordanian athlete to reach the final of the individual kumite event in the history of the World Karate Championships, which began in 1970.
