School winter break dates announced for public, private schools

As the second-month exams begin in Jordanian schools, students and parents are looking ahead to the winter break separating the two terms of the academic year.

According to the official calendar issued by the Ministry of Education, the length and timing of the break differ between public and private schools.

For public school students, the break is scheduled to start on Jan. 11, 2026, and will last until Jan. 22, 2026.

Private school students, however, will begin their break earlier, on Jan. 4, 2026, and it will continue until Jan. 31, 2026.

The difference in dates and duration aligns with the distinct academic systems and calendars followed by private schools.
