  • 'Israeli' air strikes hit Gaza early Thursday.
  • Three people killed, 15 others wounded in Khan Younis.

Gaza’s civil defence agency reported that fresh 'Israeli' air strikes on the Palestinian territory early Thursday left three people dead and 15 others injured.

The agency, operating under Hamas authority, said the strikes targeted a residential building in the Bani Suheila area, east of Khan Younis, around 4:00 AM.

The attacks come as both Hamas and 'Israel' have accused each other of breaching the fragile ceasefire that went into effect on October 10.

A source at Gaza’s interior ministry, who requested anonymity, stated that no further air strikes occurred after 5:00 AM, but artillery fire was reported to continue in the Khan Younis area.

This occurred after Gaza's civil defence agency said 22 people were killed in ‘Israeli’ strikes on Wednesday after ‘Israel's’ military claimed it was hitting Hamas targets throughout the Palestinian territory.

Raising an earlier toll of 11, a spokesman for the agency said 12 people were killed in the north of the Strip, in the Gaza City area, while a further 10 were killed in strikes in the south, around Khan Younis.

The military claimed that the attacks come in response to Hamas fighters allegedly opening fire toward an area where ‘Israeli’ forces were operating in Khan Younis.
