A deadly attack near the Gush Etzion junction in the southern West Bank left one person dead and three others injured, 'Israeli' emergency services reported Tuesday.

The 'Israeli' army said the injuries occurred in a “ramming and stabbing attack” at the junction.

Magen David Adom, 'Israel’s' emergency service, confirmed the death of a man in his 30s. Paramedics treated a woman in her 40s in serious condition, and a man around 30 and a 15-year-old boy with moderate injuries.

In a later statement, the army said its forces “neutralized two attackers” at the scene. Authorities also reported that explosives were found in the attackers’ vehicle, and the area has been sealed off with roadblocks and ongoing searches.

The incident comes amid escalating violence in the West Bank, which 'Israel' has occupied since 1967. Tensions have risen sharply since October 7, 2023.

Since then, 'Israeli' forces and settlers have killed more than 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. During the same period, at least 43 'Israelis' have been killed, including members of 'Israeli' security forces, in attacks carried out by Palestinians or during 'Israeli' raids on Palestinian cities.
