Jordanian Army thwarts drug smuggling attempt from Syria

The Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army announced that the Northern Military Region foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs along its northern frontiers within its area of responsibility on Sunday.

A military source explained that the smuggling attempt involved a “projectile coming from Syrian territory.”

The Armed Forces added that “after hearing the firing sound, search and inspection operations were intensified” in the area.

Field efforts led to the “seizure of the projectile,” which was handed over to the competent authorities for legal action.
