FBI foils planned Halloween terror attack in Michigan

In a major security development, FBI Director Kash Patel announced Friday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had “foiled a potential terrorist attack” that was allegedly planned to take place during Halloween festivities in the US state of Michigan.

Arrests in Dearborn

According to an official statement released by Patel on X, the FBI successfully “arrested several individuals” believed to have been plotting a “violent attack” over the Halloween weekend, taking advantage of large public gatherings associated with the holiday.

The arrests were carried out early Friday in Michigan, with operations focused in the city of Dearborn, the statement said.

Dearborn Police confirmed the arrests in a separate statement, assuring residents that “there is currently no active threat to the community.”
