'Israel' decided to "resume ceasefire protocol" following deadly strikes in Gaza
The 'Israeli' military stated on Wednesday that it had reinstated a ceasefire in Gaza after claiming to have conducted a series of targeted operations against dozens of resistance positions over the previous day.
“Following a series of strikes, in which dozens of terror targets and terrorists were struck, the IDF has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire in response to Hamas' violations,” the military said in a statement.
The military further detailed that the strikes were coordinated with the 'Israeli' Security Agency (ISA), targeting 30 individuals identified as holding command roles within militant groups operating in the Gaza Strip.
Tensions in Gaza intensified after an ‘Israeli’ soldier was reportedly injured in an alleged Hamas attack, for which Hamas has denied responsibility. Despite the ceasefire, ‘Israel’ carried out a series of targeted airstrikes across the Gaza Strip.
International calls for restraint came swiftly from France and Germany, both urging a return to the ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties.
The Gaza Health Ministry has released updated casualty figures following a fresh wave of 'Israeli' violence across the Gaza Strip. The escalation comes despite an ongoing ceasefire, underscoring the fragility of the current truce and the continuing humanitarian crisis in the besieged territory.
Since renewed ‘Israeli’ military airstrikes on the night of Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, a total of 104 people have been killed, including 46 children and 20 women, while 253 others were injured, among them 78 children and 84 women.
