The Karem Abu Salem border crossing between 'Israel' and Gaza reopened on Monday to allow humanitarian aid deliveries into the besieged territory, according to an 'Israeli' military official.

The reopening comes a day after 'Israel' temporarily closed the key crossing, accusing Hamas of violating the ongoing ceasefire agreement. The closure had disrupted the entry of food, medical supplies, and fuel into the Gaza Strip, where humanitarian needs remain dire.

“Following a decision at the political level, aid resumed through Karem Abu Salem in full compliance with the signed agreement,” the official said.

While the reopening of Karem Abu Salem allows the resumption of aid convoys coordinated with international organizations, 'Israel' confirmed that the Rafah crossing with Egypt, used for the movement of people, remains closed until further notice.
