Buses carrying Palestinian detainees arrive in Gaza's Khan Younis

Several buses carrying detainees released by ‘Israel’ in exchange for captives freed by Hamas arrived in Khan Younis, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.

Thousands of people gathered to welcome the detainees, cheering and waving Palestinian and Hamas flags in celebration.

Early Monday, Hamas already handed over all 20 living ‘Israeli’ captives. 

‘Israel’ clarified that it will begin releasing the Palestinian detainees once it has confirmation that all captives in Gaza have arrived.

On Friday, the ‘Israeli’  Ministry of Justice published a list of 250 Palestinian detainees to be released and said another 1,700 Gazans taken since the offensive began will be freed.
