According to a senior ministry source, the militia launched a “double attack,” targeting security forces and later firing on displaced civilians returning to Gaza City from the south.
Security forces reportedly responded immediately, surrounding the armed group and working to restore order. The ministry stressed that authorities are determined to “impose security and hold those responsible accountable.”
The identity and motives of the armed group remain unclear.
