'Israel' cancels release of Palestinian detainee over alleged attack of guard

‘Israel’ has decided not to release a Palestinian detainee who was scheduled to be freed under the current exchange deal after he allegedly attacked an ‘Israeli’ prison guard, Hebrew media reported. 

The reports claimed that the detainee assaulted a female officer from the ‘Israeli’ Prison Service, after which he was taken for investigation. 

The incident took place on Saturday during the identification process that detainees undergo at the Negev prison prior to their release.

In the same context, Hamas confirmed that captives held in Gaza will be handed over Monday morning, with ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying they’re ready to receive them.

US Vice President JD Vance said in an interview with NBC that the 'Israeli' captives held in Gaza “could be released at any moment.”
