Witkoff, Kushner visit Gaza as ceasefire enters second day

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited the Gaza Strip on Saturday as the Gaza ceasefire entered its second day, the 'Israeli' military said.
Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, 'Israel’s' army chief, conducted a field tour in Gaza accompanied by Witkoff, Kushner, and the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), Admiral Brad Cooper, according to an 'Israeli' military statement.
Earlier in the day, Witkoff and Kushner attended a rally in Tel Aviv organized by families of 'Israeli' captives ahead of their expected release from Gaza, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported. Under the ceasefire agreement with 'Israel', Hamas is expected to release 48 captives, including both living and deceased captives.
Addressing the crowd at Tel Aviv’s Hostages’ Square, Witkoff said, “To the hostages themselves: you are coming home,” he said.
