The 'Israeli' army announced on Monday that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons into 'Israel' from Syria earlier in the day.
The report stated that soldiers from the 595th Combat Intelligence Battalion, responsible for operating border surveillance cameras, spotted two suspects reportedly approaching the 'Israeli' border from the Syrian side.
The suspects are currently being held for further questioning, the army added, as investigations into the smuggling attempt continue.
