  • ‘Israeli’ airstrikes and artillery hit multiple areas across Gaza, destroying Al-Azhar University and damaging homes.
  • Dozens of civilians injured despite US calls for a ceasefire as Hamas agrees to negotiate captives’ release.

Heavy ‘Israeli’ bombardments destroyed Al-Azhar University in Gaza City on Sunday, injuring multiple people across the enclave, the Palestinian WAFA news agency reported.

Local sources told WAFA that ‘Israeli’ warplanes targeted tents of displaced people east of the Asda neighborhood, north of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, injuring several civilians.

Artillery shelling also struck civilians waiting for humanitarian aid east of Wadi Gaza in central Gaza, resulting in additional injuries.

In Gaza City, consecutive airstrikes hit the neighborhoods of Sabra, Al-Jalaa, and Al-Thalathini.

Residential buildings near the Tayaran intersection, belonging to the Al-Louh and Abu Shaaban families, were also targeted, causing injuries and widespread damage to homes in the surrounding area.

‘Israeli’ fighter jets additionally struck Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, damaging homes and injuring residents.

This comes despite US President Donald Trump’s calls for ‘Israel’ to stop bombing Gaza as Hamas agrees to negotiate for the captives’ release.

On Saturday night, Trump said that ‘Israel’ had already agreed to the initial withdrawal line outlined in his ceasefire proposal.

“After negotiations, Israel has agreed to the initial withdrawal line, which we have shown to, and shared with, Hamas,” he wrote on Truth Social.
