Hamas official says group still needs time to review Trump's Gaza plan
A Hamas official said Friday the group requires additional time to review a Gaza truce proposal presented by US President Donald Trump and supported by ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported.
"Hamas is still continuing consultations regarding Trump's plan... and has informed mediators that the consultations are ongoing and need some time," the official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

Trump on Tuesday gave Hamas a deadline of “three or four days” to accept the proposal aimed at ending the offensive in the Palestinian territory.
"We have one signature that we need, and that signature will pay in hell if they don't sign. I hope they sign for their own good and create something really great," Trump said.
Previously, a source close to the group said Hamas is looking to modify some points of the Gaza proposal, including the disarmament of its fighters and their withdrawal from the enclave.
