UN Chief urges all parties’ commitment to Trump’s Gaza plan

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday called for "all parties" to commit to the plan for Gaza presented by US President Donald Trump. 

"It is now crucial that all parties commit to an agreement and its implementation... He once again reiterates his call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire," Farhan Haq, a spokesperson for Guterres, said in a statement.

Qatar announced on Tuesday that it will hold a meeting with Hamas and Turkey to discuss the US-proposed Gaza truce plan. 

The Qatari government added that Hamas is reviewing the proposal “responsibly.” 

Meanwhile, Trump threatened Hamas that they “will pay hell” if they reject the proposal.
