Hamas has sharply criticized 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Friday.

Taher Al-Nunu, media advisor to the head of Hamas’ political bureau, stated that Netanyahu belongs in prison “as a war criminal” rather than on the UN platform, emphasizing that a Palestinian state will be established despite all of his attempts to prevent it.

Al-Nunu condemned Netanyahu’s behavior during the speech, including allegedly forcing his delegation into vigorous applause, calling it a reflection of “megalomania.” He also criticized the broadcast of Netanyahu’s address over loudspeakers mounted on military vehicles in Gaza, labeling it “sadistic.”

“The widespread international boycott of Netanyahu’s speech reflects the isolation of the occupation and the consequences of its ongoing war of extermination against the Palestinian people,” Al-Nunu added.

He stressed that the moral and humanitarian responsibility of world leaders is to act to stop the war and hold Israel accountable, reaffirming Hamas’ commitment to the Palestinian people’s right to self-defense until the establishment of their state.

Netanyahu: War will continue until Hamas surrenders

In his UN address, Netanyahu declared that 'Israel' will not halt its operations in Gaza until all captives are returned, asserting the need to “complete the mission in Gaza.” He outlined specific conditions for ending the conflict, stating that fighting will only cease once Hamas “surrenders, releases the captives, and hands over its weapons.”

Netanyahu also described recognition of a Palestinian state as “national suicide” for 'Israel'. He reiterated accusations against Hamas of using civilians as “human shields,” preventing them from leaving danger zones, and misappropriating humanitarian aid, while denying claims of genocide directed at 'Israeli' forces.
