‘Israeli’ ministers push for West Bank annexation after Palestine recognition
In response to a growing number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine, far-right ‘Israeli’ National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich strongly denounced the move taken by the UK, Canada, and Australia on Sunday.
Ben-Gvir called the trio’s move a “reward for killers,” urging immediate countermeasures, including full annexation of the occupied West Bank and the complete crushing of the Palestinian Authority.
Smotrich made the same call for imposing full 'Israeli' sovereignty in the West Bank.
Referencing Britain, the finance minister said: “The days of Britain and other countries determining our future are over.”

These statements align with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s own response, who earlier in the day vowed to fight the recognition of Palestine at the upcoming UN General Assembly this week, claiming that such moves “endanger Israel.”
"We will also need to fight, both at the UN and in all other arenas, against the false propaganda directed at us and against calls for a Palestinian state, which would endanger our existence and serve as an absurd reward for terrorism," Netanyahu told his cabinet.
