‘Israeli’ forces stormed the occupied village of Al-Sir in Negev, raiding and demolishing Palestinians' homes.

The operation triggered violent clashes with residents trying to protect their houses, resulting in injuries and arrests.

‘Israeli’ troops surrounded the village at dawn, preventing anyone from entering or leaving, before bulldozers began demolishing homes under the pretext of unlicensed construction.

This raid is part of an ongoing policy that has been targeting the Palestinian presence in the Negev.

Villagers, including men, women, and youth, gathered to resist the demolitions and protect their property.

‘Israeli’ forces responded with excessive force, using stun grenades, tear gas, and rubber bullets to disperse them.

Field sources reported multiple injuries among residents, as well as the arrest of several young people who were at the forefront of resisting the bulldozers.

Al-Sir is one of dozens of Palestinian villages in the Negev that ‘Israel’ refuses to recognize, denying its residents basic services such as water, electricity, education, and healthcare, while labeling their homes “illegal.”

Committees defending Negev lands state that these demolitions are not legal procedures but a calculated policy aimed at suffocating Bedouin villages and pressuring residents to leave their historic lands, paving the way for takeover and expansion of settlement projects.
