Netanyahu launches another offensive on Gaza, tightens control

‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday morning that the ‘Israeli’ army has begun a “strong operation” in Gaza. 

The statement is raising fears of an even darker turn in the humanitarian catastrophe in the enclave. 

Netanyahu’s announcement came as reports from Gaza confirmed intensified ‘Israeli’ airstrikes and artillery bombardments across several areas, particularly in Gaza City and the northern part of the Strip. 

Health officials in Gaza reported that 41 Palestinians have already been killed.

The PM has not provided details about the objectives or timeframe of the attack. 

These developments unfolded just days after the ‘Israeli’ army dropped leaflets over western Gaza neighborhoods ordering residents to evacuate immediately.

Despite international condemnations and warnings, ‘Israel’ continued ignoring them to proceed with the offensive. 

Palestinians and the international community now anxiously await to see the scale and nature of the “strong operation” described by Netanyahu, and its dire consequences for more than two million people living in the besieged enclave.
