VIDEO: Trump announces second strike on Venezuelan drug traffickers
US President Donald Trump said on Monday that American forces carried out another military strike in the Caribbean, targeting what he described as a vessel linked to drug trafficking. According to Trump, three Venezuelans he referred to as "narcoterrorists" were killed in the operation.
"This morning, on my Orders, US Military Forces conducted a SECOND Kinetic Strike against positively identified, extraordinarily violent drug trafficking cartels and narcoterrorists," the president wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The announcement follows a previous strike on September 2, when Trump reported that US forces killed 11 people aboard another boat allegedly used by traffickers. That operation drew scrutiny from legal experts and human rights groups, who questioned whether Washington’s actions respected international law.
