Trump accuses Hamas of moving captives, using them as human shields
Donald Trump on Monday posted a forceful warning on his social platform after reading a news report that, he said, Hamas had moved captives “above ground” to be used as human shields in the face of an 'Israeli' ground offensive.
“I have just read a News Report that Hamas has moved the hostages above ground to use them as human shields against Israel’s ground offensive. I hope the Leaders of Hamas know what they’re getting into if they do such a thing. This is a human atrocity, the likes of which few people have ever seen before. Don’t let this happen or, ALL ‘BETS’ ARE OFF. RELEASE ALL HOSTAGES NOW!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The post repeats an allegation that has circulated in various reports since the conflict intensified, but the claim that captives have been moved above ground has not been independently verified by major international news agencies at the time of this report. Journalists and officials typically require corroboration from multiple sources, including medical, humanitarian or on-the-ground confirmations, before confirming allegations of that nature.
