Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on allies to stop buying Russian oil and to refrain from “seeking excuses” to avoid sanctions.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington would impose sanctions only when all NATO members agreed to do the same.

Writing on X, Zelensky urged: “I call on all partners to stop looking for excuses not to impose sanctions—Europe, the United States, the G7, and the G20.”

He added: “It is essential to reduce the consumption of Russian oil. This will definitely weaken Russia’s ability to wage war. We can hear the position of the United States, and this position should also be heard by all those who still choose supplies from Russia instead of from other partners.”
