The Palestinian National Security Forces in Lebanon have completed the handover of new batches of weapons from Palestinian factions within the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to the Lebanese army, officials announced Saturday.

Colonel Abdelhadi Al-Asadi, Director of Public Relations and Media for the Palestinian National Security Forces, said that a total of eight trucks of weapons were transferred during the operation on September 13, 2025. Five trucks were sent from the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in Sidon, while three trucks came from the Baddawi camp in northern Lebanon.

“This initiative comes in implementation of the joint statement issued by President Mahmoud Abbas and Lebanese President General Michel Aoun,” Colonel Al-Asadi said. The transfer also aligns with the work of the Lebanese-Palestinian Joint Committee, which seeks to monitor conditions in the camps and improve the living standards of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

Officials highlighted that the handover underscores the “depth of the Palestinian-Lebanese partnership” and reflects a shared commitment to maintaining security, stability, and fraternal relations between the two peoples.
