‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with other officials, mourned the assassination of Charlie Kirk, US right-wing activist and staunch supporter to 'Israel' as well as Zionism.

“[Charlie Kirk] was murdered for speaking the truth and defending freedom… A lion-hearted friend of Israel,” Netanyahu said, revealing that he had spoken with Kirk two weeks earlier, inviting him to ‘Israel.’

“We lost an incredible human being,” he added.

Several ‘Israeli’ officials joined Netanyahu to lament the killing, framing the assassination as a result of “radical Islam” and the “radical left” joining forces.

The PM’s son, Yair Netanyahu, said that Kirk recognized that the shared “Judeo-Christian civilization is under existential threat from both radical Islam and the radical left.”

Likewise, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir condemned the killing: “The collusion between the global Left and radical Islam is the greatest danger to humanity today. Charlie Kirk saw the danger and warned about it. But the bullets of the despicable murderer struck him. Thank you, Charlie, for your support of Israel and for your struggle for a better world.”

The assassination also drew condemnation from several other ‘Israeli’ officials, among them President Isaac Herzog, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Transportation Minister Miri Regev, and Education Minister Yoav Kisch.

Additionally, Blue and White Chairman MK Benny Gantz, before the official announcement of Kirk's death, said: “The vile and despicable shooting of Charlie Kirk, unwavering friend of 'Israel', in Utah is a harrowing reminder of how violence threatens democracies.”

Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University Wednesday.

Videos from the scene showed him addressing a crowd when a single gunshot rang out, causing him to collapse in his chair before the camera swiftly moved and sounds of panic erupted in the audience.

The right-wing activist had an outsized influence in US politics, helping the rise of Trump's support among younger voters, one of the key factors in the Republican's return to power last year.

With natural showmanship skills, Kirk co-founded Turning Point USA in 2012 to drive conservative viewpoints among young people, turning him into the go-to spokesman on television networks and at conferences for the youthful hard-right.

He used his enormous audiences on Instagram and YouTube to build support for anti-immigration policies, outspoken Christianity, and viral takedowns of hecklers at his many campus events.
