VIDEO: Drone from Yemen strikes Ramon Airport, several injured: 'Israeli' army reported

A drone launched from Yemen hit the passenger hall at Ramon Airport near Eilat on Sunday, injuring at least five people with shrapnel and leaving three others suffering panic attacks, according to 'Israeli' authorities.

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed the incident and said air traffic at the airport was temporarily halted. Operations resumed a few hours later once airspace was reopened.

An IOF spokesman reported that Israeli air defenses intercepted three drones throughout the day, destroying two before they entered 'Israeli' territory.

The military said the drone, launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, evaded its defenses and crashed into the Ramon Airport terminal, causing damage to the facility.

An investigation has been opened into why the unmanned aircraft went undetected.
