One image, endless stories: Gaza’s 700-day genocide
In a stark illustration of the ongoing war’s brutality, a Palestinian man and woman were caught on camera fleeing the rubble of Al-Mushtaha Tower after it was flattened by an 'Israeli' airstrike on Friday. The woman, carrying her infant, appeared blind and pleading for help, while the man rushed to protect his family.
The strike comes amid 'Israel’s' continued targeting of what it calls “multi-story military infrastructure,” a pretext often used to justify attacks on civilian buildings. Another tower near Palestine Stadium was also hit later in the day.

Humanitarian statistics reveal the devastating toll of nearly two years of conflict. Since October 7, 2023, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reports over 64,300 Palestinians killed, including children and women, and more than 162,000 injured. Thousands have died or been wounded while seeking humanitarian aid, and hundreds of children have succumbed to hunger and malnutrition under the ongoing siege.
The scenes of collapsed buildings and families struggling to survive under relentless bombardment have become a daily reality for Gazans.
