Netanyahu announces secret military operation
- Netanyahu said the 'Israeli' army is carrying out a decision taken by the security cabinet.
- He claimed an operation targeted Hamas spokesman Abu Obaida, though Hamas did not confirm such targeting.
'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that the army is currently implementing a decision taken by the security cabinet but gave no further information.
Speaking during a government meeting, Netanyahu claimed that the military “attacked Hamas spokesperson Abu Obaida” and that they are “waiting for the results.”
He suggested that Hamas has not yet issued a response, claiming this could be because “there is no one left to clarify the matter.”
Hamas issued a statement on Saturday night calling on the public not to listen to misinformation calling such rumors a part of a broader psychological warfare effort intended to destabilize internal morale and create confusion within Gaza.
