Jordanian authorities have found the body of a girl buried in a remote area of the capital Amman, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement.
Police were alerted to the presence of a body in an uninhabited area of the Amman Governorate, prompting investigation teams to respond immediately, the PSD said.
The body was discovered buried in a three-meter-deep hole. It has been transferred to the forensic medicine department to determine the cause of death as authorities continue their investigation, authorities added in the statement.
Security agencies confirmed they are conducting a field investigation and gathering evidence to uncover the circumstances of the incident and apprehend any possible suspects.
