'Israel' considers shifting Gaza negotiations to UAE or Europe: 'Israeli' media

'Israeli' authorities are reportedly exploring the possibility of relocating negotiations over a prisoner exchange in Gaza to the United Arab Emirates or a European country, Hebrew Channel 12 reported on Sunday.

The consideration comes amid ongoing delays in talks mediated by Egypt and Qatar. The channel did not provide details on the positions of the mediators or other parties regarding the potential move.

Earlier on Sunday, Hamas accused 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of deliberately blocking a deal. The group said Netanyahu’s approval of a plan to occupy Gaza City, following Hamas’s acceptance of a mediator proposal, demonstrated “his determination to obstruct the agreement.”

“We agreed to a partial deal and expressed readiness for a comprehensive deal, but Netanyahu rejects all solutions,” Hamas said in a statement. The movement added that “Israeli and American acknowledgments confirm that Netanyahu is the true obstacle to exchange deals and a ceasefire.”

Hamas further cited former US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, claiming that Netanyahu “was delaying and lying by setting new conditions each time the agreement neared completion.” The group stressed that “an agreement on a ceasefire is the only path to recovering the prisoners, and Netanyahu bears full responsibility for the fate of the living prisoners held by the resistance.”
