United Arab Emirates has received a new evacuation flight carrying 155 injured and sick patients from the Gaza Strip, along with their relatives, via Ramon Airport in the occupied territories and through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

With this latest evacuation, the total number of patients and their companions assisted since the outbreak of the crisis has reached 2,785.

This effort continues the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to provide treatment for 1,000 Palestinian children wounded in the 'Israeli' aggression and 1,000 children with cancer, ensuring they receive necessary medical care across UAE hospitals.

Comprehensive Medical Care in UAE Hospitals

According to Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations and Vice President of the UAE Agency for International Aid, critical cases were transferred to various hospitals in Abu Dhabi, while other patients and their families were accommodated at the Emirati Humanitarian City, receiving care under the supervision of specialized medical teams.

Al Shamsi highlighted that the UAE provides a range of medical, educational, and cultural services for patients and their families, helping to mitigate the devastating effects of the current humanitarian crisis, particularly for children, the elderly, and women in Gaza.

Historic Support and Humanitarian Responsibility

He added that the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian response, urgently evacuating wounded civilians from Gaza, reflects the country’s long-standing support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to providing immediate aid and easing suffering caused by conflicts.

Leading Humanitarian Efforts

Since the beginning of the crisis, the UAE has continued its humanitarian initiatives in cooperation with UN agencies and international partners, providing medical care, medicines, and supplies at a floating hospital off the coast of Al-Arish in Egypt and a field hospital in southern Gaza, alongside ongoing medical evacuations as part of urgent humanitarian response plans.
