Gold prices in Jordan on Thursday, Aug. 21
The Jordanian Jewelers Syndicate (JJS) announced the daily gold prices for the local Jordanian market on Thursday.
According to the pricing bulletin issued Thursday morning, the selling price of 21-carat gold, the most in demand in the Jordanian market, reached JD 67.80 per gram, while the purchase price stood at JD 65.60 per gram.
For other categories, the selling price of 24-carat gold was set at JD 77.80 per gram and the purchase price at JD 75.40. The selling price for 18-carat gold reached JD 60.20, while the purchase price was JD 55.70. Meanwhile, 14-carat gold recorded a selling price of JD 45.80 and a purchase price of JD 41.20.
These official rates are based on global gold exchange prices and are updated daily to reflect fluctuations in international markets.

Based on the 21-carat rate, gold lira coins were priced as follows:
- Rashadi lira (7 grams): Selling at JD 474.60, buying at JD 459.20
- English lira (8 grams): Selling at JD 542.40, buying at JD 524.80
