The Moscow Transport Authority, in cooperation with RT Arabic, has launched a new media campaign under the slogan “Your Best Destination!” aimed at welcoming visitors from the Middle East and North Africa.

The Russian capital has increasingly become a popular destination for Arab tourists, known for its rich history, unique architecture, and cultural landmarks. As part of the campaign, posters in Arabic have been placed across the city’s public transport network, combining Russian and Arab cultural symbols. Alongside Moscow’s iconic Matryoshka doll, the posters also feature the Arabic coffee pot, symbolizing hospitality.

The initiative also includes the release of specially designed Troika transport cards, which are essential for using the city’s metro, buses, and trams.

To further assist Arab visitors, the campaign highlights key tourist attractions and how to reach them using Moscow’s advanced public transport system - considered one of the most modern and efficient in the world. A dedicated section titled “Hello, Moscow!” has also been added to RT Arabic’s website, providing regular updates and information on Moscow’s transport system.

Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, said: “Moscow is one of the world’s leading tourist destinations, and in line with the directives of Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we are working to make travel in the city easier and more comfortable, including for foreign visitors. For the second time, in cooperation with RT Arabic, we are introducing projects that help Arabic-speaking travelers discover Moscow’s reliable and convenient transport network.”

Maya Manaa, Director of RT Arabic, welcomed the initiative, saying: “I feel joy when walking in Moscow and hearing tourists speaking Arabic, seeing their admiration for the city’s beauty, and their excitement at finding Arabic greetings across the capital. Our colleagues at the Transport Authority, like RT Arabic, are committed to making Moscow accessible and enjoyable for visitors from the Middle East. While Moscow’s transport system connects tourists to the city’s landmarks, our platform provides clear guidance in Arabic on how to explore them.”

The Arabic-language posters will remain in Moscow’s streets until October 2025, coinciding with the city’s peak tourism season and ahead of the upcoming Russia–Arab World Summit scheduled for October 14–15, 2025.
