Hamas receives new Egyptian-Qatari ceasefire proposal: Sources

Hamas on Monday received a new proposal from Egyptian and Qatari mediators aimed at resuming indirect negotiations with the Israeli Occupation to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

Arab media outlets, citing unnamed sources, reported that representatives from Egypt and Qatar delivered the initiative to Hamas in the presence of leaders from several other Palestinian factions.

The sources added that the faction leaders have asked Hamas to prepare a response to the proposal “within the coming hours.”

These developments follow recent indications from Hamas that the movement is ready to accept the latest mediator proposal without the amendments it had previously attached, signaling increasing flexibility on its part.
