Hamas said on Sunday that 'Israel’s' new plans to relocate residents amount to “a new wave of brutal genocide and criminal displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from Gaza City and those who have taken refuge there.”

In a statement published on the group's Telegram channel, Hamas described the move to set up tents in southern Gaza under the guise of humanitarian arrangements as “a blatant deception.”

The group added that 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government are pushing ahead with efforts to uproot Palestinians from their land, revealing their true intentions of establishing what they call “Greater Israel.”

On Saturday, 'Israeli' army spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that preparations were underway to move civilians from combat zones to southern Gaza. He said that starting Sunday, tents and shelter supplies would again be provided for residents, in line with political directives.

According to Adraee, the supplies would be brought in through the Kerem Shalom crossing with the help of the United Nations and international aid organizations, after undergoing inspection by 'Israeli' forces.

The development follows 'Israel’s' declaration of its intent to launch a new offensive to seize Gaza City, the enclave’s largest urban center.
