Saudi Arabia condemns 'Israeli' plan to occupy Gaza, calls it ethnic cleansing
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned Tel Aviv’s decision to occupy the Gaza Strip, expressing its firm denunciation of what it described as “crimes of starvation, brutal practices, and ethnic cleansing” against the Palestinian people.
In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the inhumane policies and decisions adopted by the 'Israeli' authorities, carried out without restraint, represent a blatant violation of the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people.
The ministry warned that the continued failure of the international community and the UN Security Council to stop the assaults and violations committed by 'Israel' undermines the foundations of the international system and threatens security and peace both regionally and globally.
In conclusion, Saudi Arabia called on the international community to take firm and effective positions to halt the ongoing 'Israeli' crimes and to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate rights, including establishing their independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on relevant international resolutions.
