Normal summer conditions set for most of Jordan

Temperatures are forecast to rise slightly today, Saturday, bringing normal summer weather to most areas in Jordan. Conditions will be hot in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some scattered low-altitude clouds in northern and central parts of the kingdom. Winds will be moderate northwesterly.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, the weather will remain normal for summer in most regions through Tuesday, while staying hot in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low-lying clouds will continue to appear in northern Jordan, and winds will occasionally pick up, especially in desert areas.

• East Amman: 33 C high, 23 C low
• West Amman: 31 C high, 21 C low
• Northern Highlands: 28 C high, 19 C low
• Sharah Heights: 29 C high, 20 C low
• Desert Areas: 38 C high, 23 C low
• Plains Areas: 33 C high, 22 C low
• Northern Jordan Valley: 38 C high, 26 C low
• Southern Jordan Valley: 42 C high, 29 C low
• Dead Sea: 41 C high, 27 C low
• Aqaba Gulf: 42 C high, 28 C low
