VIDEO: Jordan, UAE conduct new airdrop of aid over Gaza
The Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army carried out a new round of airdrops on Wednesday to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, in coordination with the United Arab Emirates Air Force. The joint operation is part of ongoing efforts by Jordan to support Palestinians amid the dire conditions in the besieged enclave.
Two C-130 aircraft, one from the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the other from its Emirati counterpart, were used to carry out the airdrops. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).
A total of 16 tons of food supplies and infant formula were dropped across various areas in the Gaza Strip. This brings the cumulative amount of essential aid delivered by air over recent days to around 73 tons, using a mechanism designed to ensure efficient distribution.
To date, the Jordanian Armed Forces have conducted 130 airdrops independently, in addition to 270 joint airdrops carried out in coordination with several allied and friendly countries as part of a broader humanitarian airlift to Gaza.
