Trump says Melania finds Gaza crisis “terrible"

US President Donald Trump said his wife, Melania Trump, finds the humanitarian crisis in Gaza “terrible,” during an interview in which he was asked whether the two had discussed the situation.

“Yes, she thinks it’s terrible,” Trump said. “She sees the same picture that you see, and we all see it. And I think everybody, unless they’re pretty cold-hearted or nuts[feels the same].”

Trump described the suffering of children in Gaza, saying: “There is nothing you can see other than it’s terrible when you see kids, whether they say it’s starvation or not, those are kids who are starving. And you see the mothers, they love them so much, and there is just nothing they seem to be able to do.”

He added, “They’ve got to get them food, and we’re going to get them [food].”
