Jordan weather forecast: Heat wave to ease slightly
The hot air mass affecting Jordan is expected to weaken slightly Monday. Temperatures will be relatively hot in mountainous areas and plains, hot in the desert regions, and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will occasionally pick up, potentially stirring dust in desert areas.
The Jordan Meteorological Department warned against prolonged direct sun exposure, especially during afternoon hours. It also noted the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility in desert areas Monday afternoon due to dust kicked up by active winds.
On Tuesday, temperatures are forecast to drop slightly as the hot air mass recedes. Normal summer weather will prevail across most regions, though it will remain hot in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some low-altitude clouds are expected in northern and central parts of the kingdom, with moderate westerly winds occasionally strengthening.
Normal summer weather will continue Wednesday and Thursday, remaining hot in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with some clouds in northern and central Jordan.
