The Public Prosecutor in Amman on Thursday referred the case of social media influencer Ayman Aballi to the Amman Magistrate's Court and ordered his detention for one week pending investigation, according to a source close to the case.
Aballi was charged with publishing content deemed harmful to social harmony, following an investigation by the Cybercrime Unit.
The source told Roya News that Aballi was questioned by the prosecutor before the case was formally transferred to the court as part of ongoing legal proceedings.
