False alarm triggers sirens in Nir Am kibbutz, says 'Israeli' military

The 'Israeli' military confirmed on Monday that sirens which sounded earlier in the Nir Am area were a false alarm.

In an initial statement, the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said sirens were triggered and that the incident was under review.

A short time later, the military clarified that the alert was due to a false identification and no threat was detected.
