'Israeli' airstrike kills Gaza police official, 11 family members
'Israeli' airstrike on Saturday targeted the home of Colonel Omar Saeed Aql, the police chief of Nuseirat in central Gaza, killing him and 11 members of his family, according to a statement by the local police department.
The strike hit the family home in the town of Al-Zawaida, in what local authorities described as yet another massacre amid 'Israel’s' ongoing war on Gaza.
The General Directorate of Police in Gaza mourned the victims, stating that such attacks would not break the will of the Palestinian people or the determination of police officers who continue to serve the public under fire.
The directorate reiterated its call on the international community and the United Nations to take decisive action to stop 'Israel’s' repeated violations against police personnel performing civilian duties, warning that targeting them violates international law.
